  1. The most surprising statistic in the video was the one in the very end about the babies being born in the U.S, China, and India. It was also surprising about the songs that were being downloaded illegally throughout the course of the video. It wasn’t a surprise that the jobs that exist now weren’t available in the last couple of years. Most to all of the facts on this video I didn’t know about, yet they were all extremely interesting. There are so many things that could be predicted for the future of the web. I predict that the web will be extremely fast and will be usable by anyone anywhere.

  3. What really surprised me was that 25% of India's population with the highest IQ's is greater than the total population of the United States. This means that our population is not very high and also America is not as smart as we think. Also, the fact that China will soon have more English speakers than the U.S. is really interesting. The drastic increase in computer technology is not surprising because it's common sense that us humans would strive on the phenomena of computers. The information provided in this video impact my education by making me want to learn a lot more about life and also it makes me think about other people in our world a lot more. My prediction for the future of the web and society is that they will both vastly expand to an amount that is unimaginable.

  4. The surprising part about the statistics was that we are preparing for jobs that arent even invented yet. It wasnt surprising that 67 babies were just born. This video impacts me because it feels piontless to go to college if everything I learn will be outdated by the time I get out. I predict that computers will take many jobs.

  5. I think that it's surprising that the top ten in-demand jobs in 2010 did not exist in 2004. Also that we're preparing people for jobs that don't even exit yet. I don't get how the human brain can produce and invent something predicted to be more advanced than the human brain itself. What's not surprising is the "if were one in a million in China there's 1300 just like you". I've heard that 1000 times. China is a huge continent with a huge population so it shouldn't be surprising. This info impacts my education in that kids will be more techonologically advanced. I predict that web and society will be just like how it already is today. We're constantly checking the internet to keep updated and to communicate. It'll probably be just more advanced and faster in the future.

  6. What was surprising during the video was that so many new born babies are born every day. The thing that wasn’t very surprising was that so many people are on facebook because almost everyone I know has a facebook. This video makes you more knowledgeable about what is going on around you. I think that sooner or later everything will be more advanced than it already is.

  7. During the presentation it had some interesting facts for example it said that soon China will be the number one English speaking country in the world. Another fact that was interesting was that India has more honor students than the United States. The fact that stood out to me the most was that during the five minute presentation there were about 694,000 songs downloaded illegally and 67 babies born in the US. One stat that I wasn’t surprised about was the fact the there are 5 times more words now then in shake sphere time. The video really has no affect on my education just besides the fact that we have a lot more technology do help with education. The predictions that I have for the future is that we will have more technology that could do more and more word will be made or have meanings

  8. The most surprising thing about the video of statistics was that India has more honor kids than America has. It was very surprising because India is ver poor and I would of not expected that. The least surprising was that google has 31 million seaches a month. It was the least surprising because everyone uses google. The information in this video was very educational because it tought me things i never really knew about.I think that in the near future everything will increase more and we will based everything on electronics. I think everyone will use the internet for everything.

  9. I was surprised how India has more honor students then America has kids and how Myspace is the 5th largest i the world. Also how there are about 540,000 words in the english language. I wasnt really surprised about the amount of text messages sent and recieved everyday because i know alot of people text alot including myself. This video impacted my education because now i see how advance we are compare to before. People didn't have the technology we have today, and we're actually pretty lucky. I think one day they will make computars where there is no need for a screen, and it will be a portable computar, and one day they will make a transportation device where you can travel everywhere without using the use of planes.

  10. The thing that was vary surprising was, that there are 1300 people just like you. The thing that was not vary surprising was that top 10 in-demand jobs in 2011 did not exist in 2004. The video impacts my education because allot of things in this video like “1300 people were just like me”. I think in the future you will be able to control your computer with your mind or you would be able to tell you computer what to by talking to it.

  11. I was surprised that we are getting ready for jobs that haven’t been invented yet. I wasn’t really surprised that 67 babies were born during the video. This video impacts my education because there is no point in going to college if everything I learn will be outdated by the time im out. I predict that computers will take many jobs.

  12. The thing that was surprising in this video was that all the number of things had higher numbers then previous years. The thing that wasn’t surprising at all was when it said MySpace could be country. And also that there are more than 31 billion searches on Google. This will impact my education because pretty soon everything will be controlled by technology in the future in my education. In the future the web will be more complex not just regular pages like these. They will have more details, the rate you download at right now will be more than doubled. The society will also work by technology meaning that the internet will run the country, instead of mail all the mails will turn into emails.

  13. What was surprising about the statistics was that china would be the number one English speaking country. The other thing is that there will only be 10 to 14 learner jobs for 38 year old. What is not surprising was that 694,000 songs are downloaded illegally. This information will impact my education because by time my children are going to school and they will all be computerized and nothing will be the old pen or pencil. My prediction is that we will all be computerized. We will all be on are phones and computers. We will have social lives on the computers and won’t get out of the house. America will be obese. The whole world will be this way.

  14. Something that surprised me is how teachers are being able to prepare students for jobs that don't even exist yet. Another thing that was surprising to me is that there is way more honor kids in India than in America. The last thing that got my attention was how Myspace would be the 5th largest country because of its population. Something that was no surprise was how a lot of people end up being together from dating websites. It impacts my education because I got to learn lots of new things that I didn't know and these are really good facts to remember. It also gives you a little more background about the internet and what it's doing for the world. One of my predictions for the web in the future is that the population for using the web a lot is going to increase very much. And I aslo think that more people are going to be together just from the web.

  16. Many of the statistics in the video surprised me but the fact that it only took facebook 2 years to reach a market of 50 million people, when it took the television 13 years to achieve this, even though the television was around much longer and was one of the main means of communication a few decades ago shocked me. However, the number people who have met via online didn’t surprise me at all, especially with all of the commercials on the television advertising things like dating sites. The information in the video has revealed that the internet is revolutionizing the world and is helping us to understand future problems that weren’t even introduced to the world yet, meaning that there are more people becoming dependent to what their computers can do for them, and having the computer basically think for you. In the future, I predict that people will become so dependent on their computers that they will not leave their houses, and become hermits. The internet provides instant gratification with many things now, including buying groceries, shopping, schooling, and meeting people. It wouldn’t be surprising if the next generation of kids didn’t even know how to make friends and become socially awkward. I think the human population would also decline due to people becoming hermits.

  17. The most surpising part of the video is when it said that India has more honors kids then than America has kids.Seeing that makes me think that I should try more harder in school. The not so surprising part was when gave a statistics that 1 out of 8 couples married in the U.S. last year meet in the internet. The information that I saw in the video makes tells me that technology is taking over, the internet is used everywhere. Everything we do is growing even more rapidly, birth rates, the English language and computer technology. Predictions that I can make is that computers will start thinking for them self and starting making plans in taking over the human race.

  18. Did you know 3.0?

What was most surprising about the video was seeing all the different things that could happen later on in the future. An example of this is the super-computer that could be smarter than a human. What wasn’t really surprising was how 1 out of 8 couples married in the U.S. last year met online, because there are a lot of dating sites now. Knowing these facts could be really helpful, because some of them may apply to you, like how today’s learner could have 10-14 jobs by the age of 38. I think that all books magazines and newspapers are going to be replaced with digital documents.

  19. In the video “a belief history of the internet” it was telling you about the different people that rare on the internet and what the internet is used for.

In the video “the internet explained” they tell you how the things you send or things that you receive get around in the net work and what an IP address is.

In the video “did you know 4.0” was about how like if you do something there r like 3000 more people doing the same thing

  20. What surprised me about this video was the amount of unique information that would be generated this year, which is more than the amount of information in the last 5,000 years. It was also a surprise that the percentage of India's population that has a high IQ outnumbers America's total population. It didn't surprise me as to how many songs were being downloaded. That only proves how people are improving their use of the internet, that people are becoming more knowledgable with ways to hack the internet. This ivideo impacts my education because this means I'll uprobably be learning things in my future that will also help me with a job that doesn't exist yet. I predict that there will be a time in the future that people will rely on the internet and technology dso much they will not even have to leave their houses and use machines to do their bidding.

I predict that every one in the world, later in life use computers. i also think that thing are accelerating at a fast pace and before long computers will be way different.

  22. one surprise about these statistics is that india has more honors kids than America has kids.one thing that was no surprise was that there are about 540,000 words in the english language.this impacts my education because by seeing this i would try to research more and know alot about this. in the future i think that technology will be taken to a whole new level.

  23. The thing that was surprising to me in the video is that teachers are preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exsit. Also the amount of baby’s being born in the U.S, China, and India throughout the course of the video. The thing that wasn’t surprising at all is that the is the U. S. Department of Labor estimates that today’s learner will have 10-14 jobs by the time there 38. The information provided in this video impact my education by me know more things about the world. The predictions I can make about the future of the web is that it is going to be really fast and possibly smarter than the average human.
